Katie Price has been labeled a “scammer” by unhappy admirers who paid hundreds of pounds but received nothing in return.
The 46-year-old model and entrepreneur is presently embroiled in court fights over a £760k overdue tax bill, which she was unable to pay, prompting her arrest and eventual bankruptcy. Fans are now enraged with her after many lost hard-earned money due to her sponsorships.
Katie, now sunning herself in Cyprus, has been looking for ways to pay the bills, such as sponsorship partnerships. She modeled some of the ensembles available from JYY London, one of the firms she collaborated with.
In addition to modeling for the company, she has been promoting some of their products on her TikTok and Instagram accounts. However, for several followers, this fashion dream quickly turned into a nightmare, since the garments they bought never came.
As a consequence, banks are forced to pay refunds via chargeback services to consumers who raised “disputes,” claiming that the firm did not deliver their things. Several disappointed customers complained on the company’s Trustpilot page.
Other fans were taken aback when the firm, now run by Katie’s close friend Jeyda Yilmaz, offered individuals the opportunity to win a fortunate dip. The game contained rewards such as tiny bags of goods and discount vouchers, both of which failed to reach consumers.
One client told The Sun that she would never shop from JYY London again after the item she paid £82 for, including next-day delivery, did not arrive. Suzanne explained: “Katie is promoting this; the thing is, they’re still responding to queries about the clothes on social media.”
“I saw someone said, ‘Have you got this in a size 12?’ and they reply to that,” she added. “I’ve reached out through all different platforms and nothing.”
“It’s disgraceful. I contacted the bank and they put it down as fraud and refunded me yesterday.”
Other dissatisfied fans claimed that they had been waiting for their things for about two months but had never received them. “Nobody is getting back to me, I’m trying to get your attention can someone please get back to me,” they penned.
Several other well-known celebrities, like Geordie Shore superstar Chloe Ferry, have already collaborated with the company. The Daily Star has contacted JYY London for comment.
It comes as Katie continues to struggle with financial troubles after being declared bankrupt for the second time in March. Court hearings for the overdue tax bill were scheduled for October, but Katie chose to go on a trip to Cyprus with her boyfriend JJ Slater.
