“American Pickers” Star Mike Wolfe Is Closing His Antique Store

Mike Wolfe, the star of “American Pickers,” has had to temporarily close his antique store because of construction problems.

The 60-year-old owns Antique Archeology, with stores in Le Claire, Iowa, and Nashville, Tennessee.

On November 26, fans were surprised when the Nashville location suddenly closed.

The store shared an Instagram post saying, “Our Nashville store is currently closed due to some construction issues!” according to the U.S. Sun and Express US.

The post continued by reassuring customers: “We will keep you updated on when we open back up. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing y’all soon!”

Luckily, the closure was brief, and the store reopened on November 27. On that day, Mike visited the Iowa location to promote their Black Friday deals.

He also showed off a fun vintage Santa Claus outfit and a range of branded items like hats, mugs, coasters, and shirts.

Reflecting on the impact of his TV fame, Mike shared: “We have a TV show. Before the show, it was just Danielle [Colby] and I working in here. When the show hit, everyone came in and asked for t-shirts and hats. There is a mix of merch and vintage.”

This issue comes at a tough time for “American Pickers,” which has seen a drop in viewers. The November 20 episode, titled Surfs, Signs, Savage, only had 521,000 viewers, a big drop from the previous week’s episode, Picken’ Wall to Wall, which had 582,000 viewers.

The November 6 episode, Carnival Cashout, had just 547,000 viewers, while the October 30 episode, DIY Delorean, had the lowest ratings of the season, with only 442,000 viewers.

This season’s ratings for American Pickers are much lower than last season’s.

The premiere of Season 25 attracted 723,000 viewers for part one and 676,000 for part two, while the third episode had 880,000 viewers.

By January 24, the ratings had increased to 948,000 viewers. The February 28 episode brought in 966,000 viewers, and the season finale on March 27 had 832,000 viewers.

American Pickers has now fallen to the fifth most-watched show on the History Channel, behind Curse of Oak IslandTales from Oak IslandUnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd, and Mountain Men.
