“I just hope y’all know, the WNBA doesn’t pay my bills at all. I don’t even think it pays one of my bills. Literally,” she said.
Given that her rent is $8,000 a month, it’s clear why she feels this way. That’s almost all of her yearly salary going just to rent.
This isn’t the only money Reese earns, though. She recently attended the Victoria’s Secret fashion show afterparty in New York City, where she took some photos. It seems like she may have been on her way to that event when she made the video.
People have had mixed reactions to her comments. Some think she should move to a more affordable place, with one person asking, “Why rent something you can’t afford?”
Others feel she made a mistake signing an $8,000 per month lease knowing her salary. They believe it’s hard to sympathize with her financial situation because of this decision.
On the other hand, some argue that she deserves a higher salary, especially compared to what NBA players make, and that even well-known athletes can face financial challenges.
Despite the salary issue, online estimates suggest Reese has a net worth of about $2 million. She also has deals with brands like Reebok, where she has her sneaker line and a collaboration with Reese’s Pieces.
