The 42-year-old pop icon, Britney Spears, sparked curiosity on Sunday when she shared a video wearing a white silk wedding dress and lace veil, posing as a bride.
Her wedding look featured loose waves in her blonde hair, a delicate gold necklace, black pointed-toe heels, and her signature black eyeliner.
Along with the video, Spears posted a separate photo of an empty church without a caption, leaving fans speculating about her ‘wedding.’
Later, she posted another video standing at the entrance of a private jet, dressed in a white slip dress and black boots, seemingly headed for a solo honeymoon.
The caption read: “!!! Turks and Caicos here I come.”
She also shared a poolside video of herself lounging in a yellow bikini, soaking up the sun.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband Sam Asghari, 30, filed for divorce in August 2023 after 14 months of marriage.
Their divorce was finalized in May 2024 after settling.
In her 2023 New York Times bestselling memoir, The Woman in Me, Spears expressed gratitude for Asghari’s stability during their relationship, writing: “I love that he doesn’t drink. He’s a gift from God.”
Britney Spears’ love life has been widely chronicled over the years.
She famously annulled her first marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander just 55 hours after they tied the knot.
Her second marriage, to Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007, resulted in two children, Sean Preston, now 19, and Jayden, 18.
Federline held primary custody of their sons for much of their childhood, and last year, Britney agreed to their relocation to Hawaii.
However, it seems the pop star has been working to mend her relationship with her boys.
In June, a source told the Daily Mail: “Britney has been speaking to and working on her relationship with Sean Preston and Jayden for months now.”
“The boys have so much love for their mother, and she for them. Things are fully back on track, and they are excited for the future together.”
As for her new “relationship”?
Instead of marrying someone else, Spears surprised fans with an unconventional announcement—she decided to marry herself.
In a playful post, Britney wrote: “The day I married myself… Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done!!!”
The video shows her adjusting her veil and posing in a bridal outfit while Sting’s classic song “Fields of Gold” plays in the background.
