Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are said to have ended their relationship, just weeks after announcing they were expecting their first child together.
TMZ reports that the breakup happened during a trip to Vail, Colorado, over Thanksgiving weekend, when things became tense. The report says Fox found something upsetting on the rapper’s phone, which led her to ask him to leave the trip early. After he left, the couple is believed to have split.
Sources told Us Weekly that the two had been trying to fix their relationship, especially because of Fox’s pregnancy, but their strong personalities caused more arguments. “They broke up in late November,” a source said, adding that while they are “done for now,” there is still a chance they might get back together in the future.
The Independent has reached out to representatives for Fox and Machine Gun Kelly for comment.
Their breakup happened less than a month after the Transformers star announced that she and the musician were expecting.
On November 11, Fox shared a series of photos on Instagram, showing her holding a positive pregnancy test in one picture and gently touching her baby bump covered in black liquid in another. She wrote a caption using lyrics from Kelly’s song, “last november,” which talks about the couple’s past miscarriage.
She added, “Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back.”
This will be Fox’s fourth child and Kelly’s second. Fox has three sons—Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, eight—with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green. Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, has a 15-year-old daughter, Casie, with his ex-partner Emma Cannon.
The couple first met in March 2020 on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass. They went public with their relationship shortly after, when Fox appeared in Kelly’s “Bloody Valentine” music video in May that year. By January 2022, they were engaged.
In November 2023, Fox shared her experience with miscarriage through two heartfelt poems in her book Pretty Boys Are Poisonous. During an interview with Good Morning America about the collection, Fox talked about coping with the loss with her fiancé by her side.
“I’ve never been through anything like that in my life,” she said. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately… trying to navigate: ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?'”
