Rihanna’s Fans Are Calling Her A High-fashion “Cookie Monster”

Rihanna is famous for her bold and unique fashion style.

At the Fashion Awards on Monday, she stood out with her blue, fluffy outfit, which fans quickly compared to the Cookie Monster.

She grabbed attention in a plunging black Christian Lacroix FW02 Couture dress, showing off her ample cleavage.

True to her dramatic style, the 36-year-old singer wore a bright blue faux fur coat draped over her shoulders and topped it off with a matching large furry hat as she arrived at the Royal Albert Hall.

Fans couldn’t help but point out how much Rihanna’s coat and hat resembled the Cookie Monster. One fan wrote on X: “Is Rihanna being attacked by the Cookie Monster?”

Others commented: “Rihanna dressed up as the Cookie Monster” and “Rihanna just crashed The Fashion Awards in Cookie Monster couture.” One fan even said, “She kinda slayed!”

The superstar was joined at her table by her boyfriend A$AP Rocky, former British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, tennis star Maria Sharapova, and Moncler CEO Remo Ruffini.

Rihanna smiled as she posed next to a sharp-looking Edward, who wore a classic black tuxedo and bowtie, and Maria, who looked chic in a cream co-ord.

Meanwhile, A$AP looked stylish in a navy suit and red tie as he prepared to take the stage to be honored as a Cultural Innovator at the awards. He was recognized for being part of several high-profile campaigns this year and for making his Paris Fashion Week debut.

The couple’s appearance came shortly after they sparked engagement rumors when Rihanna was seen wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger during a night out in Beverly Hills last month.

The eye-catching ring quickly sparked rumors that it was an engagement ring from her A$AP, with whom she shares two children.

The couple, who usually keep their relationship private but went public with their romance in late 2019, are parents to two young sons: two-year-old RZA and 15-month-old Riot Rose.

The Fashion Awards, presented by jewelry brand Pandora, brings together the global fashion community in London, the heart of fashion and creativity, to highlight leaders of change, celebrate excellence, and support the next generation of creative talent.

It also serves as the main fundraiser for the BFC Foundation, which helps the growth and success of the British fashion industry by focusing on education, grants, and business mentoring.

Hosted for the second year in a row by Maya Jama and Kojey Radical, the star-studded event will honor Tom Ford with the Outstanding Achievement Award and Issa Rae with the Pandora Leader of Change Award.

Caroline Rush, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, said: “We are delighted that Maya and Kojey are returning as the co-hosts this year. It was a pleasure to watch them on stage last year. Their love and support of British fashion and emerging talent make them the perfect duo for the job. I am really looking forward to seeing their dynamic energy on stage again as we celebrate the year in fashion.”

Rapper and fashion icon A$AP Rocky will be honored as a Cultural Innovator after being part of many high-profile campaigns this year and making his Paris Fashion Week debut.

The award celebrates a leading innovator and image-maker in the entertainment industry, who, over the years, has created viral fashion moments that have had a significant impact on the fashion industry and broader culture.

Remo Ruffini, Chairman, Chief Executive, and Creative Director of Moncler S.p.A., will receive the Trailblazer Award for his contribution to the fashion industry.

Gucci will receive a Special Recognition Award for the ‘We Will Always Have London’ campaign, created by Creative Director Sabato De Sarno and photographed by activist Nan Goldin.
