The star of Twilight has been identified as the world’s most handsome man through a scientific analysis that evaluates the ‘perfect face’ using the principles of the ‘Golden Ratio.’
Fans and followers have shared a variety of opinions about Pattinson’s top ranking.
One admirer writes, “Couldn’t agree more this man is STUNNING.”

Someone else questions the process, saying: “There are billions of other guys in the world. If they haven’t seen them all, then how do they know he’s the most attractive?”
Interestingly, Pattinson himself has addressed this recognition in a viral video that has captured widespread attention.
The Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi originates from the European Renaissance and is based on the ancient Greek exploration of beauty and aesthetics.
Throughout history, this ratio has been a valuable tool for artists and architects to design visually appealing creations. For example, Leonardo Da Vinci used it in his renowned drawing, the Vitruvian Man, which represents the ‘ideal’ male human body, according to Study.com.
In modern times, scientists have modified this mathematical principle to analyze what makes someone physically attractive.
The Golden Ratio works as a formula to evaluate the proportions of different facial features.
To apply it, the length and width of an individual’s face are measured and then divided.
The closer the resulting number is to 1.618, also known as Phi, the nearer the face or body is considered to be ‘perfection.’
To apply the Golden Ratio, measurements are taken from specific points on the face. These include the distance from the forehead hairline to the spot between the eyes, from the spot between the eyes to the base of the nose, and from the base of the nose to the tip of the chin.
If these measurements are close to being equal, a person is considered more attractive.
The analysis also takes into account the symmetry and overall proportion of the face.
For someone to meet the Golden Ratio’s standard of beauty, certain features must align perfectly. For example, the length of the ear should match the length of the nose, and the width of one eye should be the same as the space between the eyes.
The ranking was developed using advanced computer mapping techniques by Dr. Julian De Silva, a facial cosmetic surgeon based on Harley Street.
Dr. De Silva, who leads the Centre for Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery in London, incorporates this technology into his medical practice.
Speaking to MailOnline, he explained, “Robert Pattinson was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection.”
“These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients’ surgery.”
The British actor, famous for his roles as Batman and Edward Cullen in the Twilight series, scored an impressive 92.15% accuracy based on the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi, a scale designed to measure physical perfection.
Robert Pattinson claimed the top spot with a score of 92.15%, earning a place in the top five for nearly all facial features. His success was largely attributed to his classic facial structure and sharply defined jawline.
However, his score was slightly reduced due to his lips, which were considered somewhat thin and flat.
Henry Cavill came in second with a score of 91.64%. Dr. De Silva highlighted Cavill’s ‘perfect’ forehead and high ratings for his lips and forehead. Despite these strengths, Cavill received a lower score for the spacing of his eyes.
Bradley Cooper followed with a score of 91.08%, standing out particularly for the positioning of his eyes. Nonetheless, his score was affected by deductions for the shape of his nose and his overall facial proportions.
Other noteworthy contenders included Brad Pitt, who scored 90.51%. He was praised for his eye spacing but was marked down for his nose shape.
George Clooney, though no longer holding the top position, still ranked well with a score of 89.91%. Despite showing some natural signs of aging, he maintained a strong standing on the list.
An analysis of Pattinson’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jawline, and overall facial structure revealed that they align most closely with the ancient Greek standards of ideal beauty.
