Singer Tulisa Has Revealed That She Is Demisexual

Tulisa became famous in the late 2000s as a member of the hip-hop group N-Dubz, known for songs like ‘I Need You’ and ‘Ouch.’

She later had success as a solo artist with her first album The Female Boss, which included the U.K. number-one hit ‘Young.’

In addition to her music career, Tulisa was also a judge on The X-Factor from 2011 to 2012.

Recently, the singer had stayed out of the public eye, but now she’s back on TV and more open than ever.

Tulisa is a contestant on season 24 of the popular reality TV show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, where celebrities live together in tough conditions, along with some creepy crawlies. Before joining the show, the ‘Live It Up’ singer had announced plans to leave showbusiness.

On Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, Tulisa said (according to MailOnline): “The music industry is wild, it is ridiculous. I’m through most of it. I’ll be out in two years from now. I’m going into property next year.”

“I think I’ll always come back for N-Dubz. But I think the person I’ve become, I’m a public figure that doesn’t really like being in the public eye.”

The singer shared that she wants to open ‘themed rentals’ that would be ‘super fantasy geek,’ like Game of Thrones.

“So, yeah, that’s my plan for 2024. I’m absolutely buzzing,” she added.

Now, Tulisa has talked about her sexuality during her time on I’m a Celebrity.

The singer explained that she needs “to have a really close emotional bond with someone” before she can start to find them sexually attractive.

She said: “For me, it’s all about the connection and the emotions that I feel with someone and then wanting to express them in that way.”

What Tulisa has described is demisexuality, a sexual orientation where a person doesn’t feel primary sexual attraction.

WebMD explains: “When you’re demisexual, you need an emotional connection with someone before you can feel sexually attracted to them. You may be gay, straight, bisexual, demiromantic, sapiosexual, graysexual, or pansexual. You can have any gender identity.”
