Taylor Swift Handed Out $197 Million In Bonuses To The Staff Who Worked On Her Eras Tour

Taylor Swift showed her appreciation for her Eras Tour staff in the most generous way possible.

Us Weekly confirms that Swift, 34, gave $197 million in bonuses to the crew over the past two years. The bonuses went to people like truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, the merch team, lighting and sound staff, production crew and assistants, carpenters, dancers, band members, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair and makeup artists, wardrobe staff, physical therapists, and the video team.

Swift started her long-awaited tour in March 2023. After finishing the North American leg in August, it was revealed that Swift gave her truck drivers a $100,000 bonus. She reportedly gave out $5 million in bonuses, as there were around 50 drivers in her tour crew.

After taking a break, Swift continued her tour, performing in South America, Asia, Europe, and the U.K. from late 2023 into the summer of 2024. Earlier this year, she returned to North America for a few extra shows before heading to Canada.

The Eras Tour has broken many records, including being the highest-grossing tour of all time. The New York Times reported that the tour’s ticket sales reached $2 billion, which is “double the gross ticket sales of any other concert tour in history.”

Along with making a huge profit from the tour, Swift also found success with other projects. After finishing the first leg of the tour, she released her Eras Tour concert film, which was shown in theaters and later made available on Disney+. Before starting her European leg, Swift released her album The Tortured Poets Department. Last month, she also released a new photo book featuring moments from the shows. After being available at Target for a week, her Eras Tour book sold nearly 1 million copies.

On Sunday, December 8, Swift said goodbye to the Eras Tour after almost two years of performing. She held her final show in Vancouver and thanked her fans for “being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my life to date — my beloved Eras Tour.”

As for what’s next for Swift after the Eras Tour, a source told Us Weekly earlier this month that the Grammy winner will take a break before starting work on a new album. The insider also mentioned that Swift is thinking about returning to tour in 2026.
